Tennis Valdosta

Wrote By-Laws and elected slate of officers and board of directors

• Received 501 (c) 3 Classification.
• Developed new Tennis Valdosta logo and created Facebook page for exposure.
• Hosted 4th Annual Susan G. Komen tournament in October.
• Attended CTA Workshop in Atlanta
• Hosted USTA Junior Team Tennis League with 85 participants.
• Applied and received a USTA grant to have 3 courts at McKey Park lined for 10 and Under Tennis.
• Applied and received 10 and under tennis nets and balls from USTA.
• Purchased 3 36' court nets.
• We received a $600+ CDLM grant from the USTA.  We purchased 7 squeegie rollers for McKey Park with a portion of the money.
• We have had a volunteer to assist Keith at the 8 and under Clinic at McKey Park each Monday.
• We have volunteered at Keith's junior tournaments to sell concessions.
• We hosted an adult USTA tournament at McKey Park in May and are planning to host another in December.
• We applied and received an administrative grant from USTA in the amount of $2,000.  With these funds, we purchased a computer and software along with a printer/copier/scanner/fax combo for Keith to use at Mckey Park to help promote tennis and run USTA leagues and tournaments.
• We assisted with a Junior Team Tennis League that was organized by Dave Berkle in Camilla, Georgia.  We hosted matches on June 16th at McKey Park.  We provided lunch, fruit, drinks, snacks, etc…
